Alena "Lue" (Gram) Mason, 91, of Daybrook, passed away February 24, 2020 at her granddaughter's home in Rivesville, surrounded by her family. She was born August 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Burl and Grace Spragg. She made her life in Daybrook and was very proud of her little town. She enjoyed being with people and, for the last two years, lived in a home full of caregivers. Her granddaughter, Tina (Eric) Corwin, her great granddaughters, Seneka Teets, Ryleigh and Regan Corwin, and great great granddaughter, Paisley Teets. Lue was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake for everyone that visited her home. She was known as Gram to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert "Deb" Mason and her brother, Bill Spragg.

Lue attended the Daybrook Methodist Church and enjoyed going to the Blacksville Senior Center for many years. In addition to her caregivers, she is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Larry) Kuhn of Fairview and one son, Fred (Mary) Mason of Daybrook; grandchildren, Larry (Amy) Kuhn of Daybrook, Shawn (Lorri) Kuhn of Fairview, Garry Kuhn of Daybrook, and Margie Mason of Daybrook; great grandchildren, Ceressa (Dan) Patterson of Daybrook, Jameson Kuhn of Daybrook, Jaron, Caden, and Darian Kuhn of Fairview, and Emily Kuhn of Daybrook; and great great grandchildren, Caitlynn and Brock Patterson of Daybrook.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care of Harrison County and the Marion County Senior Center for excellent care.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street in Fairview, on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be in the funeral home on Friday, February 28. 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Fred Eddy officiating.
