Alice Marie Trimble Wood, 92, of Grafton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2022.  She was born on August 27, 1929 in Grafton, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Henry and Nellie Custer Trimble.

Alice was a housewife and mother of four.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, quilting, and oil painting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Hyson Donald Wood; two brothers, Bud and Fred; a sister, Virginia; and one son-in-law, Forrest Jones.

She is survived by three sons, Greg (Susan) Wood of Bridgeport, WV; Vincent (Tina) Wood of Morgantown, WV; Aaron (Denise) Wood of Northville, MI; a daughter, Darlene Jones of Charleston, WV; eleven grandchildren,  Ammy (Kenny) George of Keswick, VA; Melissa (David) Cook of Charleston, WV, Jack, Jenna, and Jacie Wood of Bridgeport, WV, Nicholas and Isabella Wood of Northville, MI, Sean (Bridget) Wood of Grand Junction, CO, Ben (Lynnea) Wood of Grand Junction, CO; Andrew Wood of California, and Forrest Jones of Summersville, WV;  and four grandchildren, Virginia, Morgan, and Spencer Cook of Charleston, WV, and Chloe Wood of Grand Junction, CO.

Alice donated her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry.  She will be greatly missed.
