Angel Dawn Angle, often called Angel D., passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2024, 43 years young. She was the only child of Monica Akers and the late George Angle. She was also lucky in her life to have had the late George Holloway as a father figure in her life. She was born in Morgantown, WV on September 22, 1981.

She attended Robert C. Byrd High School. She was in the orchestra where she played the trumpet, and the glee club. She was also in ROTC, first as a Color Guard, later becoming an Officer going to Officer Candidate School, and becoming a Lieutenant with her own platoon.

In her early years, she would try anything once. She tried tap dance, jazz, ballet, gymnastics, Pop Warner Minor League.

She was preceded in death by her father, George W. Angle; grandfather, Franklin D. Akers, Sr.; uncle, Franklin D. Akers, Jr.; grandmother, Lillian Angle.

Angel leaves behind her mother, Monica Akers; aunts, Tina Akers-Brown (William) of Greensboro, NC, Kimberly Akers-Walker (Ronald) of Chester, VA; uncles, Kevin Akers (Misty) and Tyrone Akers (Josie), both of Grant Town, WV; grandmother, Joyce Akers of Shinnston, WV; siblings, George Angle, Jr. of Florida, Rhonda Angle of Ohio, Carlos Angle of Fairmont, Casey Angle of Baxter, and Tiffany Smith of Fairmont. Angel leaves her boyfriend, Larry Bonner of Petersburg, VA, and a host of cousins and friends behind to cherish her memories.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. The memorial service will be at the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Jones officiating.
