Obituary

Antoinette "Toni" Marie Adams, 83, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the Pierpont Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 6, 1936 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Nick and Minnie (D'Amico) Mezzanotte, Sr.

Over the 21 years her husband served in the U.S. Air Force, Toni enjoyed traveling the world with her family and often moved to different locations where her husband was stationed. She was an avid bowler and competed in many different leagues winning several trophies. Toni also loved tending to her flower garden and could make anything grow.

Toni loved spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved throwing BBQ's with her husband and fixing Sunday dinners for her family. Toni was an excellent cook and always ensured that anyone who came to her home left with a full stomach. Family and friends especially enjoyed her homemade ravioli and pizza.

Over the course of her life, Toni had many different careers; however, her favorite position was in the accounting office at Murphy's Mart. There she developed lifelong friendships and enjoyed going to lunch with the "Murphy's Mart Gang" long after the store had closed.

Toni is survived by her three children, Harry and Monica (Snider) Adams III of Fairmont, Charles and Debra (Belldina) Adams of Port Richey, FL, and Kathy (Adams) Bray of Fairmont; two granddaughters and their husbands, Carrie (Bray) Keener and Camden of Fairmont and Rachael (Adams) Ferek and Damian of Morgantown; and her great granddaughter Parker Ferek, who were all the apple of her eye.

She is also survived by two siblings and their spouses, Ida and John Plutro of Fairmont and Nick and Che Che Mazzanotte of Fairmont; sister-in-law, Virginia (Cameon) Mezzanotte of Fairmont; and many nieces and nephews.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harry Adams, Jr.; her son-in-law, Keith Bray; her brother, Pat Mezzanotte; and her great niece, D'Andrea Amendolea.

In keeping with Toni's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. She will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Additionally, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901 (www.dementiasociety.org).
