Arley L. Simmons, 75, of Fairview, passed away October 1, 2023. He was born on April 20, 1948, the son of the late Arlie O. Simmons and Evelyn Kisner Simmons.

Arley is survived by his children Paula (Phil Stewart) Davisson of Farmington, John (Kathy) Davisson of Springfield, Tennessee, Arley "Tink" Simmons of Fairview, and Barbara Simmons of Laws Hill, Tennessee; brother Louis "Louie" (Barb) Simmons;  brother-in-Law Ben Sine; sister Connie (Bill) Seese of Ohio; grandchildren Twyla (John) Bergenstal of Minnessota, Samantha (Anthony) Thomason of North Carolina, Patrick Sconish of Fairmont, and Adriana Simmons of Morgantown; great-grandchildren Ryker Thomason, Kate Morgan Bergenstal.

In addition to his parents, Arley is preceded in death by his wife Sue (Johnson) Simmons; and his sister Sheila Sine

Arley is a retired Coal Miner, and the former Mayor of Fairview. He also served on Town Council for many years. Arley served his country in the United States Marines from 1968-1970.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home-Curry Chapel in Fairview, WV, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 2:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00a.m. with Pastor Larry Harker officiating.
