Obituary

Arthur Lee Puskas, 68, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Grant Town, WV, passed away October 12, 2020. He was born January 30, 1952 in Fairmont, WV. The son of Arthur S. Puskas and Leona Puskas.

Arthur was Catholic. He kept God and prayer in his life. In his early years, he served as an alter boy at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Grant Town, WV.

Arthur received his Bachelor's degree in Education at Fairmont State in 1976. He spent several years of teaching in the state of Virginia. He returned to West Virginia University and earned his Master's degree in Safety Engineering. He was employed by Fairfax County Public Works and Environmental Services. After 30 years, he then retired. He lived in Leesburg, but always called West Virginia his home. While he was receiving his education, he spent his summers working with his dad in his cable business. He also was employed by B & O Chelsie Railroad and WVU Ext. on lumber mills in West Virginia.

Arthur enjoyed sports, and was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, WVU Mountaineers, and the Washington Redskins. Most of all he enjoyed golf with dad, his best friend, Phil Serge, and all his other loyal golfing buddies that made sure his visits home would fit in some golf time.

His visits home were always a big homecoming. He enjoyed family birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. He loved all of the traditional family dinners and all of the Hungarian goodies.

In addition to his father who passed away October 8, 2013, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Stephen who passed away February 10, 1967; also his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Arthur is survived by his mother, Leona, and his loving and caring sister, Kathy Ann Puskas of Grant Town. Arthur and Kathy enjoyed a loving and strong brother and sister relationship. He also had a strong bond of love and happiness with Gita, his sister Kathy's female boxer.

His visits home had all the fun and laughter and precious memories that can never be taken away. God is love and love is great and forever. His cousins and friends and neighbors also share in the loss of our kind and gentle and loved son and brother. We thank all of those who had some time or place in their lives to know and remember Arthur Lee. He had a big heart and could make everyone smile and be welcomed. Arthur appreciated every day he lived. Arthur received his last blessing and was anointed before his passing.

Arthur will be cremated and there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. And to my brother, Go rest high on that mountain, your work on Earth is done.
