Barbara Eller Hanning, 69, of Fairmont, passed away on October 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. Barb was born August 19, 1956, the daughter of the late Robert and Cecilia Shamrock Eller of Monongah. Barbara graduated from Monongah High School, Class of 74. She always spoke fondly of the memories with her friends growing up in Monongah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by beloved sons, Robert Aldridge and Jon Gregg Aldridge; only sibling, John Eller; and paternal and maternal grandparents; brother-in-law, Joseph Hanning II; and best little fur friend, Bella.

Leaving behind to cherish the memories are her husband, Glen R. Hanning; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law Mike Payton of Worthington; her grandchildren, whom she loved more than life, Aubrey and Logan Payton, and bonus grandson-in-law, Desmond Fluharty; in-laws, Joe and Josephine Hanning of Fairmont; best friend of over 50 years, Marcia Westfall; a special sister-in-law, Laurie Walton; niece and nephew, Amelia and Joseph Hanning III; and a faithful fur companion, Toby.

Barbara found her greatest joy in the presence of children. Throughout her life, she cared for and touched the lives of countless kids. Always kind a nurturing, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand of offer support to any child.
