Bernice "Boots" Clair Diamond, 88, of Fairmont, WV died peacefully at home on April 25, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 2, 1930 in Farmington, WV, the daughter of the late Carter S. and Mary Gladys Neely Priester.
She is survived by her children, Charles J. Norris, Jr. and wife, Valerie of Fairmont, WV Philip Mark Diamond and wife, Charise, of Las Vegas, NV, Diane Williams and husband, George, of Marlton, NJ, Rick Norris and Mary Williams of Collinsville, OK and Leisa Lackey and husband, Clint, of Charlotte, NC; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Norris, Sr. and her second husband, Philip J. Diamond and her brothers, Carter "Bud" Priester, Jr. and Dr. Harry G. (Jim) Priester.
"Boots", her nickname given to her by her brother Jim, attended Farmington High and Fairmont Senior High. She worked at Hartley's Department Store and Westinghouse – North American Phillips until retirement where she enjoyed working in the kitchen at the Knights of Columbus Hall. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, vacations at the beach and trips to casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1660 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554, with Father Vincent Joseph as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown. Following interment there will be a visitation at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
