Betty Jane Jackson, 79, formally of Fairmont, WV, went home to be with her father on Tuesdays, November 3rd, 2020, at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

Born May 31st, 1941, in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Jackson and Frances Mae Jackson of Fairmont.

Betty attended Fairmont Senior High School, and after graduation, she furthered her education by attending Saint Mary's School of Nursing, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. In 1963 she relocated to Chicago, IL, while working for the University Of Chicago and Daniel Hale Williams Clinic, she continued her education at the College of Saint Francis in Joliet, IL, where Betty obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Betty started working at Cook County Hospital in 1974. She was there for 37 years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She retired in 2003 and relocated to Indianapolis, IN.

She is survived by her Daughter Stacy Stringer and son-in-law Cypress Burns of Monee, IL; 2 grandsons, Royce Stringer and JoCobe Burns of Monee. She is also survived by her sister Doris E. Jackson of Fairmont and one nephew, Curtis Guion Jr. of Lithonia, Ga, and other friends and family.

In addition to her parents Charles and Frances Mae, she was predeceased by her older sister Frances Ann Guion of Decatur, GA.

Betty's memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Agape Life Ministries 410 Morgantown Ave Fairmont. A viewing will be held at 10:00 – 11:00 am, and memorial services will begin at 11:00 am.
