Betty Jean Snyder Roberts, 81, of Rivesville, WV, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born in Withers, WV on August 2, 1944, a daughter of the late Sherman Cottrell and Eula Vanhorn Cottrell.

Betty was a devout member of the Mannington Church of Christ. She was known as the "bread lady," as she shared her love for others through baking rolls and loaves of bread for them. She loved to bake sweet treats for the neighborhood children. In addition to baking, Betty loved genealogy and her kitty-cat named Grey.

Betty is survived by her daughter Teresa Snyder; grandchildren Joshua McKinney and Lysette (Matt) Gordon; her great-grandchildren Zania Thomas, Le'Nai Greynolds, and Quinton Gordon; sister-in-laws Nancy Cottrell and Wilma Egress; her good friend Louise "Lou" Hayes, Jr. and Cecelia Wilson. She loved John Dobbins like he was her son, and had very special friends and neighbors, Aaron and Debbie Clevenger, who became like family to her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Eula Cottrell; her husband Marvin Snyder; and her siblings Kenny (Barb) Cottrell, Stanley (Eileen) Cottrell, and Leo Cottrell.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street in Fairview; on Thursday, February 12th from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Evangelist Mike Reese officiating.
