"REFLECTIONS‌ ‌OF‌ ‌LIFE"‌ ‌

GOD‌ ‌saw‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌road‌ ‌was‌ ‌getting‌ ‌rough,‌ ‌the‌ ‌hills‌ ‌were‌ ‌hard‌ ‌to‌ ‌climb,‌ ‌and‌ ‌so‌ ‌he‌ ‌gently‌ ‌closed‌ ‌his‌ ‌ eyes,‌ ‌and‌ ‌whispered‌ ‌"Brazz‌ ‌Peace‌ ‌Be‌ ‌Thine".‌ ‌The‌ ‌weary‌ ‌hours‌ ‌of‌ ‌pain‌ ‌and‌ ‌sleepless‌ ‌nights‌ ‌are‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌ past.‌ ‌GOD‌ ‌saw‌ ‌that‌ ‌Brazz‌ ‌was‌ ‌tired,‌ ‌so‌ ‌he‌ ‌did‌ ‌what‌ ‌he‌ ‌knew‌ ‌best,‌ ‌he‌ ‌came‌ ‌and‌ ‌stood‌ ‌beside‌ ‌him‌ ‌and‌ ‌ whispered,‌ ‌"come‌ ‌and‌ ‌take‌ ‌your‌ ‌rest."‌

Brazz‌ ‌(Pluck)‌ ‌Phillip‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌III‌,‌ ‌was‌ ‌born‌ ‌April‌ ‌9,‌ ‌1962‌ ‌in‌ ‌Fairmont,‌ ‌WV.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌the‌ ‌son‌ ‌of‌ ‌Thelma‌ ‌Louise‌ ‌(Washington)‌ ‌Jones,‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌late‌ ‌Brazz‌ ‌P.‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌Jr,‌ ‌and‌ ‌step-mother,‌ ‌Teresa‌ ‌Hathaway‌ ‌Evans.‌ ‌

He‌ ‌was‌ ‌preceded‌ ‌in‌ ‌death‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌paternal‌ ‌grandparents,‌ ‌Brazz‌ ‌P.‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌Sr,‌ ‌Earnestine‌ ‌(Dolly)‌ ‌Evans,‌ ‌maternal‌ ‌grandparents‌ ‌George‌ ‌and‌ ‌Georgia‌ ‌Washington,‌ ‌daughter‌ ‌Corena‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌and‌ ‌Sister‌ ‌Elizabeth‌ ‌(Liz‌Jones).‌ ‌

He‌ ‌is‌ ‌survived‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌wife,‌ ‌Tracy‌ ‌Lewis-Evans,‌ ‌son‌ ‌Brazz‌ ‌Phillip‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌IV,‌ ‌daughter‌ ‌Stacy‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌and‌ ‌step-daughter‌ ‌Mercedes.‌ ‌Four‌ ‌sisters,‌ ‌Betsy‌ ‌Parks‌ ‌(Richard)(PA),‌ ‌Angie‌ ‌Turner‌ ‌(Richard)‌ ‌(FL),‌ ‌Christina‌ ‌ Evans‌ ‌(life‌ ‌partner‌ ‌Eugene‌ ‌Drake)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Tessa‌ ‌Evans‌ ‌of‌ ‌(WV).‌  ‌ Four‌ ‌brothers,‌ ‌Curtis‌ ‌Jones‌ ‌(Kelley),‌ ‌Tony ‌Jones‌ ‌(life‌ ‌partner‌ ‌Olivia‌ ‌Barner),‌ ‌Dawain‌ ‌Jones‌ ‌(Jennifer)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Keshawn‌ ‌Jones.‌   ‌Along‌ ‌with‌ ‌his‌ ‌family,‌ ‌Pluck‌ ‌had‌ ‌many‌ ‌friends,‌ ‌Barry‌ ‌Drake,‌ ‌Kevin‌ ‌Hines,‌ ‌Marcus‌ ‌Lewis,‌ ‌a‌ ‌special‌ ‌friend‌ ‌Mary‌ ‌Holman;‌ ‌his‌ ‌mother-in-law‌ ‌Beverly‌ ‌Lewis‌ ‌and‌ ‌numerous‌ ‌Aunts,‌ ‌Uncles,‌ ‌Nieces‌ ‌and‌ ‌Nephews.‌ ‌

He‌ ‌attended‌ ‌Miller‌ ‌School‌ ‌and‌ ‌Fairmont‌ ‌Senior‌ ‌High‌ ‌school.‌ ‌ ‌

Brazz‌ ‌was‌ ‌employed‌ ‌by‌ ‌REM‌ ‌of‌ ‌WV‌ ‌for‌ ‌over‌ ‌10‌ ‌years‌ ‌caring‌ ‌for‌ ‌many‌ ‌handicapped‌ ‌and‌ ‌disabled‌ ‌clients‌ ‌in‌ ‌their‌ ‌homes.‌  ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌an‌ ‌excellent‌ ‌caregiver,‌ ‌always‌ ‌working‌ ‌extended‌ ‌hours‌ ‌whenever‌ ‌the‌ ‌need‌ ‌arose.‌ ‌

Brazz‌ ‌loved‌ ‌to‌ ‌sing,‌ ‌write,‌ ‌record,‌ ‌teach‌ ‌music‌ ‌and‌ ‌voice‌ ‌lessons.‌ ‌Playing‌ ‌drums‌ ‌began‌ ‌at‌ ‌age‌ ‌nine.‌ ‌He‌ ‌recognized‌ ‌his‌ ‌gifts‌ ‌at‌ ‌an‌ ‌early‌ ‌age‌ ‌and‌ ‌became‌ ‌a‌ ‌very‌ ‌talented‌ ‌musician‌ ‌who‌ ‌could‌ ‌play‌ ‌over‌ ‌12‌ ‌instruments.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌member‌ ‌and‌ ‌Minister‌ ‌of‌ ‌Music‌ ‌at‌ ‌Welcome‌ ‌Baptist‌ ‌Church.‌ ‌For‌ ‌13+‌ ‌years‌ ‌he‌ ‌could‌ ‌be‌ ‌heard‌ ‌as‌ ‌Radio‌ ‌announcer‌ ‌on‌ ‌WXLL‌ ‌(1310)‌ ‌Gospel‌ ‌Radio‌ ‌Station‌ ‌in‌ ‌Atlanta,‌ ‌Georgia.‌ ‌He‌ ‌toured with‌ ‌Las‌ ‌Vegas‌ ‌Mass‌ ‌Choir,‌ ‌produced‌ ‌and‌ ‌recorded‌ ‌"Let‌ ‌My‌ ‌People‌ ‌Go".  ‌ ‌

He‌ ‌loved‌ ‌to‌ ‌talk,‌ ‌and‌ ‌never‌ ‌met‌ ‌a‌ ‌stranger.‌  ‌Brazz‌ ‌always‌ ‌made‌ ‌people‌ ‌feel‌ ‌welcome.‌ ‌He‌ ‌loved‌ ‌his‌ ‌family‌ ‌&‌ ‌friends‌ ‌and‌ ‌will‌ ‌surely‌ ‌be‌ ‌missed.‌ ‌

The family will receive friends at Morning Star Baptist Church, 100 McKinney Street in Fairmont, on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The homegoing service will be at the church on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Wesley Q. Dobbs, Pastor Paul Mitchell, Pastor Leo Riley, and Pastor Regina Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in His memory can be made as follows: Brazz P.
