Burl Duane Bonnette of Fairmont passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, surrounded by family. Born September 26, 1933 in Katy, WV to the late Emery and Lucy Belle (Boord) Bonnette. Duane graduated from Farmington High School and attended Marshall and Fairmont universities. He worked in the coal mining industry in Kentucky, Ohio, Utah, and WV before retiring in Fairmont. He spent many years volunteering at Clermont Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.

Duane is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Dolores (Boone) Bonnette, daughter Janet (Vince) Militello of Canal Winchester, Ohio, son Larry (Margo) Bonnette of Hurricane, Utah, granddaughters, Alissa (Dennie) Hall, Erin (Richard) Marger, and Haley Anthony. Great granddaughter Sierra (Alex) Smith, great grandsons Trey Grenier, Colton Moyer, Jaydn Elliott, and Ethan Marger, and great-great grandchildren Sawyer and Stella Smith.

Preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Doris Jean Bonnette and Margaret Lucille Della Mea.

The family will receive guests at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave, in Fairmont, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM until noon, with services immediately following. Interment at Clermont Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
