Carl Wesley Prickett, 101 of Monumental, passed away April 4, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on July 10, 1917 in Fairmont, son of the late Larney Prickett and Virginia Berry Prickett.

Carl graduated from Barrackville High School in 1935 and was employed by Eastern Coal Company. He enjoyed farming and operating his saw mill.

Carl is survived by a daughter, Jean Janicki of Winfield; a son, Don Prickett and wife Linda of Barrackville; ten grandchildren, Johanna Janicki, Sonja Sisung and husband David, Susanne Summers and husband Jeff, Tami Prickett, Doug Prickett and partner Jeanie Page, Jason Prickett, Jared Prickett and wife Katie, Brooke Stark and husband Jason, Shelley Bashnett and husband Alan, and Chad Lucente and wife Cheryl; twelve great grandchildren, Lilly, Connor, Jagger, Ryder, Skylar Bell, Anthony Bare, Alex Bare, Brandon Hazlette, Amanda Mata, Brandon Prickett, Breanna Prickett, and Kain Lucente; three great great grandchildren, Payton Bare, Noah Mata, and Jacob Mata; a daughter-in-law, Georgiana Prickett; and a son-in-law, Tim Lucente.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Prickett; a daughter, Geraldine Lucente; a son. Edward Prickett; and a son-in-law, Butch Janicki.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Monumental United Methodist Church, PO Box 397 Barrackville, WV 26559.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
