Carolyn Jean Brooks, 78, of Fairmont, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021. She was born in Fairmont on February 14, 1943 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Carl William Peters and Goldie Sloan Peters.

Carolyn was employed by the bucket factory, was the deli manager at Shop 'n Save, and worked for the EMS. She and her husband were married in 1961.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Alex Brooks; a son, Gary Wayne Brooks; granddaughter, Desirea Santiago; great granddaughter, Aubrey Santiago; two great great grandsons; a sister-in-law, Karen Peters; and cousin, Dave and Nancy Sloan.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Jack Brooks; and brother, Carl William Peters.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue, in Fairmont on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery.
