Charles Richard "Chad" Smith, 55, of Fairmont, WV passed away at his residence on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was born on December 9, 1967. He was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

He graduated from East Fairmont High School, Class of 1986. He also graduated from Fairmont State University in 2016. He worked for Marion County Schools as a bus driver and really enjoyed his job.

He was a member of Baptist Temple in Fairmont. He was a history buff and avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Judy Smith in 2019.

Surviving him is his sister, Cheryl (Rene) Smith of Winchester, IN; niece, Kelly Wogoman (Josh Schroeder) of Parker City, IN; nephews, Daniel Wogoman of Greenville, OH and Shawn Wogoman of Greenville, OH; great nephews, Aiden Wogoman, Rhett Schroeder, and Kohen Wogoman; cousins, Beth Ann Wilson, Rick Greene, Steve Greene, Eric Greene, Jamie Peschl, and Jeremy Smith; and long-time best friend, Dale Cheuvrout.
