Christa Merrill-Fazio is gone from this earthly world and returned to her heavenly Father on August 27, 2024 She was born to Frank and Susan Merrill in Fairmont, WV on November 22, 1989 Christa was a precious, sweet, loving and kind daughter. She was a doting big sister and a treasured grandchild who brought great joy to her family. Christa was a gifted student and excelled in every subject. Christa loved dance and gymnastics and was a talented gymnast. She shared her gymnastic skills in cheerleading as a climber throughout her school years. She brought much delight and joy to those that watched her perform and even helped bring her varsity squad to many high-level competitions.

Christa's dreams came true when she married Mathew Fazio in 2012 and had 3 beautiful children, Chloe, Peyton and Truett. They were the love and sole focus of her life. She wanted nothing more than to be a mom, it was her hearts desire to be with her children and she loved them beyond measure. She attended every game and event they participated in and was so proud to be their mother. Her favorite things do were to cook for, take care of and play with her children.

Christa was very beautiful, loving, kind, and generous. She always made time to be there to comfort and support her family and always brought a smile to the faces of her loved ones no matter the situation. Her smile and her laugh were priceless and a gift to experience. Christa always had hope and looked forward to the future. She was preparing to go back to college to become a teacher. She had so many things she wanted to do in life and her potential was limitless.

Christa is and will forever be, desperately and deeply missed by her family and friends who feel their time with her was too short. She is survived by parents Frank Merrill, Susan Cherubino-Lynch and Marc Crawford, husband Mathew Fazio and children Chloe, Peyton and Truett, her siblings; Dylan Merrill, Hannah Merrill-Kinty spouse Levi Kinty and Frank Merrill Jr., niece Amelia Kinty, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her step-father Dennis Lynch, beloved grandmother Janet Vandergrift, grandfather Samuel Cherubino, and grandfather David Merrill.

A memorial service will be held for Christa at Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont, WV on February 15, 2025 visitation will begin at 10 AM, a service will be officiated by pastor Wayde Wilson at 1 PM a meal will follow.
