Christina Anne Buckner Drainer, 41, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 23, 1982 to Robert (Ed) and Michell Sokolosky Buckner.

In addition to her parents, Christina is survived by her daughter, Claire Michell Drainer, who was the love of her life. She is also survived by two brothers, Bobby (Tammy) Buckner and David (Eliza Moore) Buckner; nieces, Gracie, Nya, and Jasmine Buckner; and nephew Jason Beck; her grandmother, Betty Anne Buckner; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also loved her second family, Dave and Tina Shaw and their boys.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Carl Buckner; grandfather, Michael Sokolosky; and grandmother, Christine Sokolosky.

Christina was a Spanish teacher at East Fairmont Middle School and loved her students. She was a fighter and bravely battled cancer for five years. Her family will miss her strength and positive attitude that she showed throughout her struggle. She was a member of Life United Methodist Church and loved her church family.

Arrangements are being handled by Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont. Per request of the family, the funeral will be private with Pastor Mike Estep officiating. Interment will be at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
