Clara "Ninnie"
Caputo Hendricks
Jun 21, 1931 — Jul 15, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Clara "Ninnie" Caputo Hendricks, of Greentown Community in Rivesville, who brought light, warmth, and togetherness to everyone around her. A pillar of strength and heart of the family, she passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love, tradition, and cherished memories.
Clara passed away Tuesday morning (July 15, 2025) at her residence, surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 21, 1931, in Monessen, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph (Giuseppe) and Rose Munchin (Mancino) Caputo. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Robert Hendricks.
She found her greatest joy in the kitchen, where every meal was a celebration of family and love. Her cooking wasn't just delicious – it was an expression of care that brought people together. Afternoons at her table were filled with laughter, stories, and comfort. But nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her stories and hugs will remain with them forever.
She leaves behind family and friends who adored her and a life that touched many. Her love will echo in family traditions, recipes and every shared moment of joy.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Trina Caputo, Pam Jarvis, Ada Wix, Care Partners, and Amedisys for the care they have provided over the past several years.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Paula and Steve Michael and Cindy and Creig Owens; four grandchildren and their spouses, Brooke and Michael Walker, Will and Millie Michael, Sarah and Jared Tannenbaum, and Daniel and Sherry Owens; 5 great-grandchildren, Nikola and Isaac Tannenbaum, Riley and Morgan Michael, and Hendricks Walker; one sister and her spouse, Jo Anne and Paul Jezioro; one sister-in-law, Linda Caputo; Freida Michael; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Clara is preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, John Caputo (Katy), Isabelle Girard (Guy), Salvatore "Sam" Caputo (Edith), Frank "Fritz" Caputo (Ann), Patsy Caputo (Louise), Anthony "Tut" Caputo (Dorothy), Mary Caputo, Ann Rote (John), Armeda Wilson (Charles), and Joseph Caputo; and brothers in-law and spouses, James Borowy (Marjorie) and James "Chuck" Patechuk (Sylvia).
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon David Lester officiating.
