Connie Jean Rush, age 71, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home in Fairview. She was born on February 26, 1949 in Fairmont, WV to the late Ralph and Eileen Toothman. She was a 1967 graduate of Fairview High School. After graduating from WVU, she worked for 40 years in Marion County as an elementary school teacher, teaching kindergarten for the majority of her career. She was most recently a member of Noah's Ark Assembly of God, but she was active in church her whole life, using her talents as a musician by playing the piano and organizing countless cantatas and musical programs. She also played the flute and piccolo with the Fairview Community Band for many years. She shared her love of music by teaching piano lessons throughout most of her adult life.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa Rush Linz, and son-in-law Eric Linz of Leonardtown, MD, and by her son, Matthew Rush of Copperas Cove, TX. She also left behind eight grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Kyla and Ryan Linz and Tyler, Chris, Matthew, Ricky, Austin, and Jayden Rush of Texas. She is survived by two sisters, Karen (Steve) Yoho of Mannington, WV, and Suzie (Doug) White of Belington, WV and also several nieces.

Connie loved and treasured her church family, her friends, and all the children she taught; however, she requested a private family viewing.
