Daniel Eugene Fluharty, 55, of Fairmont passed away Friday, September 12th, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Fairmont on August 31st, 1970, a son of Jarvis Eugene Fluharty of Katy and the late Brenda Fluharty Thompson.

Dan was employed with Walmart as a mechanical repairman. He loved to spend time at his camp, fishing, and enjoyed family time.

In addition to his father and stepmother, Regina and Jarvis Fluharty of Katy, he is survived by his brother, Ray Thompson; sister, Brittany Thompson of Fairmont, and his sister, Tonya McVicker of Baltimore, Maryland; and his nephew, Gage McVicker of Colorado.

In addition to his mother, Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Denzil and Pauline Fluharty; maternal grandparents, Denzil and Margaret Wilson, and a brother, Jarvis Denzil Fluharty.

According to his wishes, there will be no public viewing, he chose cremation and his ashes to be buried by his 3 dogs at his camp at Rock Cave, Buckhannon. Arrangements are under the care of Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
