David Jacob "Jake" Heater, 21, of Shinnston, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. He was born August 6, 2000, the son of David Heater and Jaime and James Bray.

Jake enjoyed four wheeling and spending time with family and friends. He held a special place with CMA highway soldiers. He attended Higher Rock Church. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.

Jake is survived by his father, David Heater of Idamay; his mother and stepfather, Jaime and James Bray of Pine Bluff, Shinnston; a sister, Lexy Moore and her husband Michael of Pine Bluff, Shinnston; nephew, Brentley; step sister, Karen Bray (Ellie); step brother, Cody Bray (Alexis); grandfather, Jim "Bo" Robinette (Anna) of Shinnston; great grandmother, Jean Toothman of Shinnston; aunts, Holly Robinette and partner Mike Williams, Hazel, Patty, Susan, and Betty; uncles, Robert and Paul Richard; several great aunts, uncles, and cousins including, Mandi Hartzell and Austin Boylen, with which he held a special bond.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Robinette, and Ruth and Richard Heater; great grandparents, Elmer Dewayne and Jean Toothman, and Papaw P Wacky; and an aunt, Pam.
