Obituary

David Wayne "Dave" Masters, 50, of Fairview, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022. He was born in Philippi, WV on November 7, 1971, a son of Robert and Mary Masters.

Dave was a graduate of North Marion High School and Fairmont State University. He was a former manager for Aviagen Turkey, Inc. in Lewisburg, WV. Dave most recently returned to his hometown to care for his parents.

Aside from his deep love for his family, he had a passion for the outdoors. Dave could always be found fishing along a beautiful creek or hunting with his beloved beagles. He also had a love for traveling with his family.

Dave will be remembered for his lighthearted, caring spirit that could brighten a room and have everyone in it rolling with laughter. He never met a stranger and would talk forever with anyone. He loved his nieces and nephews and looked after them like they were his own children. He always put his family first and made sure everyone stayed in touch, no matter the distance.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his siblings, Michael Masters and his wife Jennifer of Morgantown, and Jean Garman and her husband Chris of Morgantown; nieces and nephews, Steve Masters and his wife Katie, Brooke Bloom and her husband Aaron, and Bo and Gwendolyn Bloom, Lucas, Jacob, and Elizabeth Garman; aunts and uncles, Judy Radcliff, Dollie Sumpter and her husband Mack, Bonnie Curtis and her husband Richard, and Nancy Santee and her husband Bill; and several cousins.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Wanetta Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Delmont and Ellen Masters.
