In Loving Memory of Debra Miller

Debra Miller, 66, of Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2026, surrounded by the people who meant the most to her—her children.

Debra was a devoted mother, grandmother, hardworking woman, and a true force to be reckoned with. Family was the center of her world, and more than anything, Debra lived for her children. They were the most precious things in her life. Her love for them was fierce, unconditional, and unwavering.

Debra was the proud mother of four children: Jason Denbeigh, Joshua Denbeigh, Ashley Ashcraft, and Darrell Miller. She was also a loving grandmother to Lee Maestas, Colt Ashcraft, and Dustin Ashcraft. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and nothing brought her more pride than the family she loved so deeply.

Debra also had much to be proud of in her professional life. A strong and determined woman, she broke barriers by becoming one of the first few female welders with Pipeliners Local Union 798 out of Oklahoma. At a time when welding was overwhelmingly a man’s profession, Debra proved that she belonged there through her hard work, determination, and skill.

Never one to stop pushing herself forward, Debra later advanced in her career and became a welding inspector. Her accomplishments were a great source of pride for her and reflected exactly the kind of woman she was—strong, independent, hardworking, and never afraid of a challenge.

Anyone who knew Debra also knew that she was feisty. She had a strong personality, a fighting spirit, and she wasn’t afraid to tell you exactly what was on her mind. That fire was simply part of what made Debra, Debra. Behind that feisty exterior was an enormous heart and a woman who loved her family with everything she had.

Debra was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marilyn Cutright, and her father, Ronald Dunning. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with the loved ones who went before her.

Debra leaves behind a legacy of strength, determination, perseverance, and, most importantly, love. She showed that a woman could walk into a man’s world, hold her own, and succeed. But of all the titles Debra earned throughout her life—welder, inspector, and grandmother—the one that mattered most to her was Mom.

Although saying goodbye leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill, her family will carry Debra with them always—in the stories they tell, the memories they share, the lessons she taught them, and that unmistakable feisty spirit that made her unforgettable.

She was a trailblazer.

She was hardworking.

She was feisty.

She was strong.

She loved fiercely.

And above all else, she was Mom.

Debra will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
