Denzil "Denny" Moore, 77, of Fairmont passed away peacefully at his residence August 13, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on January 24, 1942, son of the late Paul Moore and Opan Cain Moore.

Denny was a former employee of Minotte Machine Shop as a welder for 40 plus years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2373 and former member of the Moose #9 in Fairmont. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping, shooting pool, and having an immaculate car and lawn. He was loved by all that met him.

Denny is survived by his sons, Chad A. Moore, and Dean E. Moore and his wife; his granddaughter, Hanna Jo Moore; his soulmate, Sharon Talkington; stepson, Jerry Cottrell II and his wife Kimberly; nephews, Mike and Greg Gettings; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Gettings; and his beloved cat, Mookie.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating.
