Donna Fox passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 at Brookhaven Group Home among those who have loved and cared for her for more than 30 years.

Donna Leigh Fox, born on September 19, 1953, in Fairmont, WV was the first child of June Haymond Fox and Frank Edward Fox.

A lover of the outdoors, Donna clocked thousands of steps on the grounds at Brookhaven, sporting her gloves, hat and pocketbook.

Strong-willed and quick to forgive, Donna made it clear what she did and did not like. On the "don't like" list were "manicures" and "pedicures". The "like" list included cookies, ice cream, and the young, good-looking repairmen she referred to (in her southern belle accent) as "dem boys".

Unburdened by society's superficial norms, Donna and the other Brookhaven residents lived to appreciate the joys of peaceful afternoons on a shady porch, lively family style dinners and ice cream outings.

Blessed with wonderful care, "tell it like it is" companions, a healthy diet and pleasant routines, Donna lived her fullest life, seeming, in many ways, to barely age.

Donna, a.k.a. "Lady Bug", is survived by brother "Frankie" (Frank Fox, Jr.) and his wife Geri Fox, her sister Cindy (Fox) Kuhn and her husband Dan Kuhn. Her absence will be keenly felt by the residents and the loving souls who cared for her over the decades at Brookhaven. This kind and caring community has sustained Donna through her best years into and through her recent illnesses.
