Dorothy "Dot" Koon Ice, 89, of Fairmont, passed away November 20, 2019. She was born in Monongah on December 5, 1929, daughter of the late John C. Koon and Ruth Phillips Koon.

Dorothy was a retired bus monitor aide from H.E.B. ISD in Texas.  Dorothy loved walking, the outdoors, gardening, traveling and of course spending time with her beloved husband and family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, great aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and true friend to all.

Dorothy is survived by her children, US Air Force Medical Corp Flight Surgeon Col. Steven Ice and his wife Dr. Unchalee Ice of Centerville, OH; Debbie Archer Hoover of Lewisville, TX, Jeannie Ferguson and her husband Neil of Lewisville, TX, Patty DeRosa and her husband Norman of Frostburg, MD, and Christy Ahsanullah and her husband Asif of Murphy, TX; grandchildren, Alice, Jonny, Timmy, Emily, Matt, Chris, Carolyn, Claire, Danny, and Adam; great grandchildren, Mikey, Nicholas, Peter, Mia, and Madelyn.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Ice and a granddaughter, Katie.

Family and friends may meet on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont to proceed to the West Virginia National Cemetery for a grave side service at Noon.
