Dortha "Dot" Marie Spragg, 93, is in the arms of Jesus today. Dot passed away at Mon Health in Morgantown on August 3, 2020 with her daughter, Becky, by her side.

Dot was born February 14, 1927 at Whetzel Run in Fairview, WV, the daughter of the late Clyde and Gertrude Fritz Haught.

She graduated from Fairmont General Nursing School in 1952. She worked for Dr. Swisher and Dr. Wotring for several years. She married the late Billy M. Spragg in August 1952. Dot was an active member of Haught's Chapel Church. She loved her church family like her own.

She will be missed by her daughters, Billie Jean Tennant of Fairview, LuAnn (Bobby) Lemley of Mt. Morris, and Becky Matheny (Mark) of Mannington. Gran Dot is also survived by grandchildren Michael Tennant (Renae), Jennifer Hlusko (Jim), Brent and Logan (Paige) Lemley, and Billy Matheny (Jessica); great grandchildren, Desiree and Broc Tennant, Trent and Easton Hlusko; Danica and Reese Lemley. Aunt Dot will be missed by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Mary Wilson, Martha Ott (her twin), and Margaret Hibbs; and four brothers, Bob, Huck, Dick, and Cecil Haught. She was the last of her immediate family.

Because of the pandemic, the August 2020 Haught Reunion was canceled. There is a reunion and much rejoicing in heaven today. Domico Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. A private service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
