Edward Kenneth Chicarelli I, 78, of Fairmont passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on January 30, 1941, son of the late Vincent Chicarelli and Teresa Torch Chicarelli.

Edward was retired from Helmick Corporation and a member of the Oakwood Road Church of Christ. He loved fishing, and was an avid gardener. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He has been married to his wife, Carolyn, for 48 years.

Edward is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rita Chicarelli; children, Edward Chicarelli II, Shelia Chicarelli, Krissy Rutherford, and Greg Chicarelli, all of Fairmont; grandchildren, Brook Moyle, Shane Rutherford, Jonny Jett, and Miranda Leshelle Chicarelli; great grandchild, Sebastian Moyle; a brother, Frances A. Chicarelli; and a sister, Eleanor Osbourne.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Livingston, Anna Calanca, John Chicarelli, Mildred Straight, James Chicarelli, Martha Butcher, Benny, Michael, Barbara Jean, an Madalyn Chicarelli, and Rose Kimbrew.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Evangelist Brent Gallagher officiating.
