Edward "Dale" Lawson, 62, of Morgantown, got called to his heavenly home Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Dale was born on the outskirts of Morgantown on February 26, 1963, the son of the late Harry Dale Lawson and Charlotte Newman Lawson. He worked for many years at Ruby Memorial Hospital where he met his loving wife, Rebecca Hess Lawson. In his younger years, he worked hard for William's Family Sawmill and H&H Windows. Dale was a true outdoorsman. He loved going fishing, hunting, camping, tending yearly to his bountiful garden and farm, and bonding deeply with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church of Starcity, where he deepened his love and dedication to his faith and met close friends, Rev. Bob Gidley and wife Janet.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rebecca Hess Lawson; five children, Nicholas Lawson, Alivia Lawson, Michael Bartolf and wife D'Marie, Mathew Bartolf and wife Cassandra, and Daniel Bartolf and wife Lindsey; eight grandchildren, Iyla Charlotte Lawson and Parker Kate Lawson, Thomas and Adaline Bartolf, Khalan and Isadora Bartolf, and Devin and Lucas Bartolf; four siblings, Beverly Lawson Solomon and husband Vic, James "Bob" Lawson and wife Sharon, David Lawson and wife Anita, Linda Lawson Hess and husband Randy; as well as many nieces and nephews that some he loved as his own.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his good friends Perry "Pap" Hawkins and Alan Baker; and four legged best friend Bo Bo.

Family and Friends will be received at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave, Fairmont on Saturday, January 17, 2026 with the viewing starting at 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm with Rev.
