Eleanor (Norty) Sloan Smiers, 93, of Peacock Lane Fairmont, formerly of Fairview, passed away on August 29, 2021 at Fazio's Elder Care after a two year residency.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Cora Fazio and her staff for their outstanding care. A complete obituary will be published at a later date. As per Aunt Norty's request, her body will be gifted to the Human Gift Registry at WVU. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life and legacy.
