Elizabeth M. Christopher, 96, of Worthington, passed away on September 2, 2021 at John Manchin, Sr. Assisted Living Facility in Farmington. She was born August 19, 1925 in Howesville, Preston County, daughter of the late Paul and Amy Salisbury.
She was married to her loving husband, Loyd Christopher, for 62 years until his death in 2009.
She graduated from University High School in Morgantown with the class of 1944.
Elizabeth was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always made everyone feel special. She enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.
Elizabeth was a member of the Worthington Baptist Church. She also enjoyed being a volunteer at the Wellness Food Pantry for many years. She was also a member of the Marion County Democrats and served as a poll worker for many elections.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Tanya) Christopher of Parks, AZ and David (Marsha) Christopher of Idamay; 4 grandsons, Tobin (Rowena) Christopher of Garden Grove, CA, Todd (Debbie) Christopher of Parks, AZ, Chad (Dawniele) Christopher of Fairmont, and Derrick (Tiffany) Christopher of Georgetown, KY; 5 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Caitlyn Christopher, Braydon Christopher and Douglas and Eli Christopher; 2 step-great-granddaughters, Michaela and Mariah Luckey; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Payton Christopher and Daniel and Layla Liese; 3 sisters, Beatrice Mills, Mary Salisbury, and Virginia (Fred) Ruble; 4 sisters-in-law; 4 brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Salisbury; a sister Shirley Dean; and a granddaughter, Carrie Christopher.
