Obituary

Elizabeth Jean Todd, 82, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020. She was born September 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Anna Watson Lowe Lucas.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lee and her husband Louis of Georgia; her grandson, Christopher Gotschall and his family; a brother, James A. Lucas; three nieces, Beth, Trudy, and Sharon; a nephew, John; three great nieces, Barbara, Patty Jo, and Annika; and two great nephews, Shadon and Seth and their respective families.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Gene Todd; a brother, John Edward Lucas; a sister, Annabelle "Patty" Comas and her husband Bill; and her sister-in-law, Loueen Hummel Lucas;

Throughout her life, she attended Shotokan Karate classes with her daughter, Barbara, and achieved a black belt. She was proficient in sign language. She worked as a waitress in Washington, D.C. and later in Long Beach, CA where she met and married her third husband, William "Bill" Todd, whom she adored. She would say she "got it right the third time."

They managed restaurants and apartments. They loved to go camping together and go to Civil War reenactments. She like to crochet, do genealogy. She liked working puzzles and playing games on her laptop.

Mrs. Todd would go to Spadafore's Gym at 75 years old and still work out. She was always active and moving. She loves all of her family. She will be dearly missed and remembered by all of us!

Due to COVID-19 precautions, the family asks that close family and friends attend the visitation on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rusty Fidler officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmington. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
