Obituary

Elouise Lucille (Springer) Lowther, 92, left this earth on the morning of September 7th, 2021.   She was at home with her husband of 73 years, Ermine Lowther.  She is survived by her husband Ermine Lowther and her son Tim Lowther; grandchildren Troy Lowther and Jacob Lowther; Daughter-in-law Shasta and great-grandchildren Mason and Heidi.  Sisters Juanita Satterfield, Margaret Reed, and brother Tom Springer, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She now joins in heaven and was preceded in death by her father, Felix Springer and mother, Minnie Jarrett Springer; her son, Mark Lowther as well as brothers, Zack Springer, Jarrett Springer, and Charles Springer.

Elouise was born on December 17th, 1928.  She resided in Kingmont in her younger years but spent most of her life in Fairmont.  She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and was in the band.

She was a stay-at-home mom but then later when her children were grown she owned her own real estate company and also worked in mortgages.  She was an active member of a local sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.  She was also on several local, athletic and civic boards to help better her community, including the board to help purchase and open what is now Mary Lou Retton Park, and she ran as a member of WV House of Delegates.

She loved her family deeply and was always there for them.  She especially enjoyed spoiling and bragging about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She always loved spending time with her entire family, especially during the holiday season.  Her other interests were traveling, music, puzzles, watching sports and she was a voracious reader.   Her passion and love for her family, community, state and country was felt by all who knew her.
