Ernest Tomblin Jr., 83, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday November 22, 2025.

Born on November 21, 1942 in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Ernest Tomblin and Reba Nelson Tomblin.

Ernie was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a coal miner for Consolidation Coal Company. He attended Rose of Sharon Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing music.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Becky Tomblin: children, Tina Hammond, Eric (Brooke) Younkins, Amy (John) Jones, his granddaughters Kelli, Haley, Caroline, and Kennedy; his grandsons Jesse and Dalton; his brother Danny Tomblin and his sisters Marietta Helphenstine and Phyllis Huffman.

In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his daughter Angie Tomblin; his son Michael Tomblin; his brothers Larry Tomblin and Donald Tomblin; and his sister Patricia Tomblin.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. The service will be held at the funeral home on Monday December 1, 2025 at 11:00am with full military rites at the funeral home.
