Evan Lewis Tonkery, 39, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was born in Fairmont on May 15, 1986, the son of David Tonkery and the late Sandra E. Fast Tonkery.

Evan enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, and golfing.

In addition to his father Dave and stepmother Angela, Evan is survived by his brother, David Tonkery and his wife Danielle of Indian Land, SC; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Jo Hess Fast; paternal grandfather, William C. Tonkery; uncles, Gary Tonkery and Brian Tonkery; aunt, Julie Grimm; and several cousins.

In addition to his mother, Evan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Fast; paternal grandmother, Judith Ann Lodge Tonkery; and uncles, Mike Tonkery, and Rick Tonkery.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service will be Monday, February 23, 2026 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Joel Boggess and Kevin Lough officiating.
