Felix "Fe" Andrew Tate, 74, of Fairmont, WV departed this life on March 14, 2024. He was born on Mahan, WV to the late Rev. Thomas and Elizabeth Floyd Tate on October 27, 1949.

Felix attended Miller Jr. High and Fairmont Sr. High where he was an enthusiastic basketball player and a lover of the game. Anyone who knew him knew he was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals and recipes with family and friends. He was known for his late night fish sandwiches and holiday meals.

He was a former coal miner and pipe line worker. He and his friend, Ronnie, worked in their own business of remodeling and repairing homes within the community.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his former wife and friend, Ella Tate of Fairmont, WV; one daughter, Felicia Tate of Fairmont, WV; one son, Felix (Misha) Tate II of Fairmont, WV; two grandchildren, Lillian and Felix Tate III, both of Fairmont, WV; one sister, Ruth Linear of Fairmont, WV; three brothers, Joel, McArthur "Mac" (Mary), and Earl "Duck" (Judy) Tate, all of Fairmont, WV; one brother-in-law, James White of Abilene, TX; four nephews, Charles, Carl (Joyce) Harris, and Lorenzo (Raquel) Linear, all of Fairmont, WV; and James White II of Abilene, TX; two nieces, Stacy Tate of Fairmont, WV and Catherine Tate of Laurel, MD; several cousins, great nephews and nieces, and special family members including Inderia "Nita" King and Tina Clay; and a host of friends, including De'Andrea Bussey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Tate and one sister, Tabitha Tate.
