Florence Mae Yost, 91, of Monumental, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021. She was born in Akron, Ohio on February 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Hunter Newcome and Mabel Gould Newcome.

Florence was formerly employed by Hartley's and Fairmont State College. She attended the Barrackville United Methodist Church and enjoyed antiques.

Florence is survived by her children, Michael Weaver of Lawrenceville, GA, and Mark Weaver of Gainsville, GA; several grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Newcome of Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wayne Yost, and her sister, Patsy Price.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Currey Chapel, 100 Grant Street Fairview, WV, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephanie Bennett officiating.
