Frank (Francis) Hamilton, the Range Master, 84, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was born in Cumberland, MD on September 1, 1941, a son of the late Frank M. Hamilton and Dorothy Smith Hamilton.

Frank enjoyed spending time with family members and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and restoring antique furniture in his shop during the summer months. He enjoyed writing stories about hunting and had several published in national publications. He also enjoyed making pottery. Frank also enjoyed spending time with old order Amish in Pennsylvania and the friends he made with the Amish were one of his great joys. Frank loved the state of West Virginia and its people. Frank worked for R.J. Nabisco Company for 20 years in West Virginia.

Frank is survived by his wife, Virginia Hamilton; daughters, Cheri Hamilton, Ann Marie Hamilton, and Lisa Jenkins Moore; grandchildren, Mikayla Moore of Morgantown, McKenzie Moore of Fairmont, and Geronimo Scott and his wife Kerri; two great granddaughters, and one great grandson; and a good friend, Les Boggess.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Hamilton.

The family will receive friends at Central United Methodist Church, 301 Fairmont Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The service will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Bennett officiating.
