Gene Rowan passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born on February 10, 1938 in Morgantown, WV. He was the son of the late Raymond C. Rowan and Edith Rowan.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and retired a member of U.M.W.A. Blacksville Number One. He was a member of The Song Birds; visiting and singing at the various local nursing homes. He was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Gene enjoyed fishing and hunting, and being helpful whenever there was a need. His very favorite past time was watching his grandchildren play in their various sports.

He was preceded in death by his five brothers and four sisters with one surviving sibling, Evelyn Lee Masters.

He was survived by his wife Blanche, sons: David (Sharon) Vincent, Ted (Vicky) Vincent; daughters: Bridget Vincent, Beth (Frank) Bilotta; eleven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. The funeral service will take place at 1:00p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Stevens officiating.
