Gregory Lynn
Tennant
Nov 1, 1955 — May 11, 2023
Gregory Lynn Tennant, 67, passed away Thursday, May 11 at his Fairmont residence. He was the son of the late Olan (Bud) Tennant and the late Martha Sue Harker Tennant.
He was born November 1, 1955 in Fairmont. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1974.
He is survived by sister, Deborah Tennant Hill and husband, Bill of Apollo, PA, brother Douglas Tennant and wife Barbara of Kingmont, and brother Gary Tennant of Fairmont.
Greg was a tender-hearted soul and very kind. He loved fly fishing, cats and babies. He was especially fond of Doug's step-daughter, Melissa Harr and her sons Tristan and the late Dylan Harr. Debbie's son, Christopher from Calabash, NC, cousin Lisa Lopez's kids, Brittany and Brandon, Gary's daughter, Christi Fridley and her daughter Emma from Grafton and Gary's son, Jake from Fairmont. He is also survived by a special aunt, Judy Haught and her husband, Homer from Fairmont. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Greg was a very smart man. He was very knowledgeable about politics and many other things. He was a talker! He never met a stranger.
There are many happy memories of Greg. One that comes to my mind was a childhood memory. Greg was in the first grade and I was in the third grade. We had a fire drill at school and we lined up on the sidewalk by the Baptist Church in Fairview. Greg's teacher brought him to me because he was crying. When I asked him what was wrong, he said, "I left my blue sweater in the school!" He thought the school was on fire!
Greg was loved! RIP Greg! You will be sorely missed by many.
There will not be a service, however there will be a family gathering at a later date to celebrate Greg's life Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
