Hilda Marie (Cremean's) Scritchfield, 76, who loved to be called "mom" by her kids, departed her family on April 27, 2024 after a long battle with Dementia and heart issues. Hilda was born at Fairmont General on December 4, 1947 to opal Marie Cremean's and Carl Benjamin Cremean's.

She is preceded in death by her five sisters; husband William Scritchfield; and daughter Opal Beavan.

She is survived by two daughters BillieJean Scritchfield and Julia King; one son Carl Scritchfield; six grandchildren Hilda Dawn Scritchfield, Jacob Scritchfield, Montana Scritchfield, Johnathan King, Samuel King, and Russell Scritchfield; and one great granddaughter Sofia Huffman.

Hilda had a kind heart, and ornery smile, and a glite in her eyes that told it all. She had an easy way about her that made others feel at home around her. She was a very crafty woman always making new things to pass on and brighten the days of others. She was well loved and will be deeply missed. She may be gone, but will live on forever in our hearts. Love you mom, till' we see you again!

The family will contact family and friends to let them know of future memorial arrangements in her memory at a later date.
