Irene Louise Caldwell, 70, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She was born August 8, 1950 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late James Bernard Holcomb and Louise Janie Jarvis Holcomb.

Irene was an RN Health Hospice Nurse. She enjoyed the Turner Classic Movie Channel, history, books, and her church.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Mezzapelle and her husband Michael, and Mary Jane Caldwell and her fiancée Jeff Shaw; her granddaughter, Calista Mezzapelle; brothers, Leon Holcomb, Asa Holcomb, Donald Holcomb, and his wife Gladie, and Randall Holcomb; brothers-in-law, James Caldwell and his wife Katherine Susanna of Naples, FL, David Caldwell and his wife Rebecca of The Villages, FL, and Ron Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Keith Caldwell.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will lie in state on Monday, April 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 901 Fairmont Avenue in Fairmont, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be Monday, April 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Valerie Gittings officiating.
