Irene Ermina Libonati, 86, of Fairmont, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born in Napoli, Italy on March 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Dennis Vitelli and Gelsomina Masmana Vitelli.

Irene worked for Westinghouse and helped her husband at Mario's Mensware. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and being around her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her love.

Irene is survived by her husband, Mario Libonati; her children, Vincent (Kathy) Libonati, Rosella (Doug) Amos, and Gina (Roger) Osbourn; grandchildren, Vinnie Libonati, Sophia Libonati, Tanner Amos, Anthony Osbourn, Olivia Phillips, and Emily Weiss; great grandchildren, Cove Osbourn, Camilla and Adrienne Phillips, and Joseph Weiss; and a sister, Rosa Vitelli.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Barbara's Nursing Home for their love and care.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with vigil rites at 7:00 p.m. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Konikattil as Celebrant.
