Bacco

On March 14 th 2019 James F. Bacco went peaceably to the Lord. He capped off a long and dynamic life with a bowl of pudding and a gentle crossing into eternity. He was ninety years old and was just two weeks shy of turning ninety-one.
Big Jim, as he was called by many, is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years Christine Marie (Audia) Bacco, three sons, James V. Bacco of Ocean City, MD, David R. Bacco and his wife Tracey (Everson) Bacco of Canton GA, and Christopher A. Bacco of VA Beach, VA.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother Dominick (Jr.) Bacco and his wife Margie of Fairmont, two brother-in laws; William B Seccurro and his wife Kay, and Samuel R. Seccurro.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dominick and Jenny Bacco, his in-laws Robert and Lillian (Urse) Seccurro , and his brothers Sam and Joseph Bacco.
He was born and raised in Grant Town WV where he served as an alter boy for ten years. He attended Fairview High School.
He served his country with pride and dignity during WWII in the US Navy. He was a coal miner by profession and retired from Consolidated Coal Company. He was a member of The Immaculate Conception Church in Fairmont and The Elks. In his earlier life he was a scoutmaster for Troop 28 of The Immaculate Conception church.
He was a friend to everyone he met and everyone he met became his friend. In his retirement he enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family and taking care of the love of his life, Christine. He was proud of his family and loved to talk to his granddaughter who he always referred to as "My Maria".
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Vigil Rites will be at 5:00 p.m. with Father Jojan Joseph and Sister Stella Cronauer. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 329 Maryland Avenue in Fairmont, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant.
