James Louis "Bootsie" Norris, Sr. (77 years) passed May 19, 2024 at home in Fairmont, WV. He was born in Ridge, MD to Louis and Evelyn Norris of Ridge, MD.

He graduated from St. Michael's Catholic School in Ridge, MD and was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran. He accumulated many awards while working as an Electrical Engineer at Joint Base Pax River. He was the only man to be inducted into the St. Mary's Country Women's Softball League Hall of Fame for his years of coaching women's softball. He is former electrical engineer for the Gaylord National Hotel at National Harbor, MD.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret Norris; a brother, Joseph Norris; devoted step-daughter, Ruth Canan; son, Jamie Norris (Renee); daughters, Kimberly Grey (Zach) and Kristin Turner (Chris); nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Evelyn Norris; a brother, Sonny Norris; and sisters, Marion Foote and Cathy Foote.
