James M. Cliburn of Pasadena, Texas and native of Grant Town, WV died May 23, 2020. He was born July 30, 1935 in Grant Town son of the late Moy and Hannah Cliburn. James attended Grant Town Grade School, graduated Fairview High School Class of 1953 and Fairmont State College Class of 1959. He was a Veteran and served in the Army from 1954-1956.

James worked at Corning Glass Works from 1959-1990 in various Management positions. He started his career at the Corning Parkersburg WV plant in 1959 and retired in 1990 at the Corning, NY headquarters.

James was married to Rose Jacquez Cliburn and they raised 8 children together. James Jr. (Jill), Pasadena, TX, Cindy (Erich), Baytown, TX, Tom, Geneva, NY, Chris (Debra), League City, TX, Joseph, Baytown, TX, Rebecca, Pasadena, TX, John (Lisa), Mechanicsburg, PA, Greg (Jennifer), Big Flats, NY. He is survived by 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 10am – 12pm on Friday, June 5 ^th at Domico Funeral Home and a private interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
