Jean DeFazio, 88, of Monongah, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born February 10, 1932 in Neville Island, PA, a daughter of the late Adolph John "Tippy" Tomana and Jeanette Bowman Tomana.

Jean was an avid reader and cook. She enjoyed scrabble, card games, bingo, slot machines, and watching game shows on tv. She was a caregiver to everyone including the neighbors, friends, and neighborhood children.

Jean is survived by her children, Debbie (Larry) Zickefoose of Covington, KY, Annette DeFazio of Erlanger, KY, Patrick (Traci) DeFazio of Monongah, with whom she made her home, and daughter-in-law, Charla DeFazio of Nixa, MO. She is also survived by her brother, John (Barbara) Tomana of Idamay, WV; a brother-in-law, Mike Roscoe of Kellytown, WV; sisters-in-law, Donna Jo Tomana of Idamay, WV and Loraine Barth of Bridgeport, WV; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jay (Amanda) DeFazio, Corbin (Miranda) Zickefoose, Melinda Zickefoose, Jason (Micah) DeFazio, Jennifer (Steve) Foy, Danielle (Alex) Kolominsky, Hailey (Kyle) Keith, Tiffany Brown, Michael (Deanna) DeFazio, Jacob DeFazio, and Isaac DeFazio; 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "PeeWee" DeFazio; son, Joseph M. DeFazio; and siblings, Betty Coble, Hazel Kelly, Elaine Cogar, Alice Harker, Dorothy "Dottie" Roscoe, and Dennis "Denny" Tomana.

A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah at 11:00 a.m. with Father Vincy Illickal as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary cemetery in Monongah. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
