Jeanie Raad Ammons passed away April 1, 2026 at Pierpont Center Fairmont, WV.  She was born in Mannheim, Germany on May 8, 1947 and raised in Fairview, WV.  Jeanie was a 1965 graduate of Fairview High School. She was a hairstylist having graduated from Clarksburg Beauty Academy. Jeanie was also the owner of Lee's Place in Fairview, WV after her father retired from ownership.  Even though she suffered from Alzheimer's, she never forgot being home in Fairview.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Ingeborg "Ruth" Raad and Lee J. Raad.  She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mindy Ammons.  She leaves behind her loving sister, Ingrid Raad Grubb and husband, Jim, of Ft. Pierce, FL, brother Stephen Priester of Inverness, FL, nieces Ingrid Justine Kilpatrick and husband Dan, of Placentia, CA.  Sarah Raad Sadlier, and husband Rick, of Westfield, IN.  Nephew Michael Priester and wife Brandie of Fairmont, WV.  Great nieces Rian Ruth and Elle Josephine Kilpatrick, great niece Chloe Priester, and great nephew, Jude Priester.

Ingrid Raad Grubb would like to thank the nursing staff, and aids, at Pierpont Center for caring for and loving her sister, Jeanie, the past several years.  It is very much appreciated.

Jeanie loved children and animals.  If you are so inclined, make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Marion County Animal Shelter.
