Jeanie Marie Viglianco Dotson, 73, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born in Fairmont on September 17, 1952, a daughter of the late Phil and Jean Viglianco, who were the owners of CV News.

Jeanie began her teaching career, which lasted over 30 years, in Arlington County, Virginia. After moving back to West Virginia, she taught at several Marion County schools, and ended her career at Dunbar Middle School and West Fairmont Middle School. She went to St. Peter Catholic School through her sophomore year and graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1970. She then graduated from Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. She was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Some of her great joys of her life came from being involved with both of her sons' athletics and band boosters along with attending her grandchildren's many events.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Dotson and his wife Amy, and Phil Dotson; grandchildren, Maddex, Merric, Amarya, Mccartney, Aaliyah (and her mother, Bea Dotson), and Mia (and her mother, Sarah Dotson); an uncle, Ted Nagel; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her husbands, Michael Ayres and Rex Gray Dotson.
