Jeffrey Newton Starkey, 60, of Fairview, passed away September 22, 2019. He was born February 11, 1959 in Fairmont, son of Boyd Starkey and the late Mary Parker Starkey.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Fairview High School. He was a former employee of Skanna Aluminum in Clarksburg and Ruskin. He was a member of the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ and former member of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being on the family farm and watching the Pirates, Steelers, and Mountaineers.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Lela Florine Starkey; his daughters, Kathleen McCoy (David, Jr.), Cynthia Lowe (Jack, Jr.), Bobbi Lewis (Jeff Ancell), and Heather Lewis-Stevens (Micheal); his father, Boyd Starkey; his brother, Michael Starkey (Julia); his sister, Connie Starkey; grandchildren, Matthew Lowe, Justin McCoy, Ariana Lowe, Joseph McDonough, and Emma Lewis; great grandchildren, Madilynn McCoy, and Phoenix McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Starkey; his sister, Tina Starkey; granddaughter, Chloe Lewis; and father-in-law, Isaac McHenry.'

The family will receive friends at the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Evangelist Joe Moon officiating with Mark Jones and Peter Ray Cole assisting.
